Grosset Polish Hill Riesling 2004

Beautiful green tinged, golden straw colour. Faint lime cordial aroma with lifted floral aromatics.

Entry shows little in the way of either development or any primary characteristics; yet the finish still shows a good punch of acid and some steely minerality as one expects from a wine of this pedigree.

The acid trailing a memorable finish. Would suggest minimum of 5 years ahead of this still.

  1. Luckily they're under screwcaps... Had a very disappointing number of '96 Polish Hills fail on me... But from 2001 (screwcap) they have all been stunning.

  2. Thanks for the comment. I didn't actually open the wine myself so I had to check it was indeed screwcap. I know that Jeff Grosset is a pioneer in driving the adoption of screwcaps, still I was a little surprised.

Do you know if the bottles are always brown?
