Another schist hot release from Dom Torzi and Tracy Matthews, albeit with a slightly different vibe to the 2012 - who said Australian wine was homogenous?
Smells like malty chocolate, touches of dough and vanilla oak - fruit wins out with time, being black fruit dominant.
Slick and slippery - a glycerol feel to things. Black fruit here, suggestion of some kalamata olive, peanut shells, chocolate and licorice root. It throws the shackles off with a bit of time and air (hence the + sign here).
Softer tannins than I recall from '12, length holds up well. 90+
