Bakkheia United & Undaunted Mourvédre Shiraz 2013


Plum - square on the nose; slight edge of wild herb, of violets and lavender.
Brambly, woody spice, savoury becomes the dominant profile.

Inky, licorice, black fruit and spice - warms the gums, radiates through the palate and lingers. Reasonable length. 89

    2. I was actually pouring at a tasting so just snuck a quick taste in and really dug it. Can't really add much in the way of descriptors - enough soft, plummy fruit I suppose but a really nicely layered structure and earthy, savoury complexity were the highlights. Sophie Otton was the only taster I chatted to about the wines and she was really impressed with this one too.
