Wirra Wirra RSW Shiraz 2012

For an 'icon' wine, it's going for place rather than presenting itself as an overt manifestation of the guiding hand of the winemaker. It's medium-just touching full-bodied.

Blue fruit, choc-mint, latterly a bit of spearmint; blackcurrant, touches of herb and bramble.

Structure is excellent, flavour in carriage. The anti-thesis of what you may think of as your full throttle Shiraz, light - perhaps nimble on its feet. Sit back in admiration and contemplative fashion. Great length, excellent wine, can't lose. 94
