St Mary's Carillon 2013

Something approaching a 'Bordeaux' blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc), but with an Aussie twist (Shiraz).

Blackcurrant, black fruit, cedar and seasoned oak. A little sandy earth and sweet grass in the mix too.

It's medium bodied, has a beautiful glossy texture with a persistence of flavour through the wine. Acid is noticeable, and would suggest that - with the fruit quality - will age very well. That said, it drinks remarkably well in youth. 92
