Wirra Wirra Lost Watch Riesling 2015

"In 1947, Greg Trott, founder of Wirra Wirra, lost the only watch he ever owned - a gift from his father. From that day forth, Trott never bothered with a time-piece, avoiding the responsibility for such a valuable item."

Apples, blossom, a suggestion of white florals and talcum. The palate possesses fantastic clean-you-up acidity, bath salts, lemon and lime.

A ripper of a wine for a grumpy arse like me - a wine to lift one's spirits*.

Excellent persistence, reeling you in, again and again. 91

Tasted on: Tuesday 13th October, a Root to Flower day
Source: Sample
Price: $24
Alcohol: 12.5%
