The heavy hand of oak lingers long on this wine. Something earthen, muddy, treated timber - as if for a freshly prepared garden bed.
The oak is clearly evident on the palate too, black fruit mixes in, has a plushness to it.
Not quite sure what it wants to be, or where it will go. It drinks reasonably well, as long as you enjoy - or can tolerate - the oak on show 89
