Spicy, sappy - redolent of judicious use of whole bunches in the ferment. It's like a savoury core surrounded by depths of plummy fruit.
The palate is at odds to that: lithe, light - for the variety - chalky tannin; good fruit presence, with lingering spice. It's fresh, elegant, a cooler take on the variety. Herbal twists offer up a final element for this well rounded package. 91
