Rob Hall Pinot Noir 2015


Rob Hall - variously grape-treader, photographer - seeks to capture a moment in either a bottle or an image. For around ten years Rob was the winemaker at Mount Mary, before going solo. Producing from Yarra stalwarts, here a very approachable and affordable Pinot Noir. 

Savoury, dark fruit: cherry, plum sauce, seasoning. Lightness, an airyness, yet with good depth and flavour and freshening acidity. J

Judicious picking one suggests: a blend of three vineyards. Willowlake (cooler southern end of the valley), Nenagh Park (the warmer northern end) and Rob's own vineyard (south of Healesville). Freshness, vitality, varietal. Go now. 91
