Yalumba Patchwork Shiraz 2013

Fudgey, compote, Earth, residual old wood. Soft aromatics, calming, nothing assaulting the senses - a sense of ease.

Simplicity - a little back palate bitterness forms the dominate character here; entry sees a little black fruit before that dominating character.

Persistence of that dominating character. Lacks finesse - or true quality. Drinks well, lacks markers of anything more than a decent quaffer.  88

Tasted on: Thursday 21st April, a Flower day
Source: Sample
Price: $22
Alcohol: 13.5%
