Rob Hall Petit Verdot 2015

Somewhat unusual varietal from the Yarra Valley, as a variety PV is rather expressive and this example is no exception. Pretty, floral top notes, blueberries - sitting over an underlying smokey platform.

Blue fruit presents itself with aplomb, a little lavender and wild herb. It's fresh - a good line of acidity does that - well structured, with chalky tannin drawing across the palate. Just presents beautifully, a rounded mouthfeel. All class.  93

Tasted on: Wednesday 25th May, a Fruit day
Source: Sample
Price: $30
