St Hugo Barossa Shiraz 2013

Black fruit swaddled in oak: cassis, mulberry - this reeks of old school Barossa.

Thick, chewy presence as it enters the mouth; slick, glycerol, oak, black fruit, licorice and clove. Tannin slowly reveal themselves once the wash of oak clad fruit has passed.

You've got to like this sort of thing, and if you do you won't be disappointed. Just the job for a Friday long lunch and an old school steak. Medium rare. 93
