Toolangi Yarra Valley Rosé 2016

Pretty serious Rosé here from the Toolangi crew. Made from Syrah, 300 dozen made, crafted at Dominique Portet.

Well Summer appeared to have started in Brisbane - so a Rosé was the perfect antidote to a sultry day.

Pours a gorgeous coppery hue - veering to a suggestion of onion skin - this was an ideal kick-starter. Lurid pink nectar this ain't. Floral hints, strawberry, the merest suggestion of creaminess.

A freshness about the palate enlivens. Zippy acidity, suggestion of spice, little lemon tang. Refreshment plus. 90

Tasted on: Tuesday 1st November, a Flower to Leaf day
Source: Sample
