Fermented in tank, after which the wine was transferred into French and Hungarian oak barrels (two and four years old). Lees for four months, then racked off for bottling. So all up, something youuthful and fresh, rather than the austere style that Nebbiolo can be.
Savoury, woody, touch of liquid smoke, leather and black cherry.
Smooth, silken bodied on entry - modicum of tannin, one would expect more for the variety. Has good flow mind, moving across the palate nicely, resurgence of black fruit toward the back palate and a flash of acid that gives extra carry.
Personal questions over the asking price. More like a Langhe style, youthful, for now. 90
