Robert Stein Half Dry Riesling 2016

I do like a little off-dry Riesling, something with just a little retained sugar (here 10g residual), just works wonders at cutting through some devilish spice.

Lime, florals, a suggestion of fennel pollen.

Immediately it marries both acidity balanced against a little sweetness.  It's a punch of flavour, a veritable explosion that just gently recedes across the palate.

Paired this coconut milk and chilli poached chicken. The RS here more than a match for that touch of spice. Preferred this to the 2015. 91
