Mr. Riggs Ein Reise Riesling 2016


Here's an interesting one. Look, at 30g of residual sugar it's always going to be a tough challenge to drink as a stand-alone wine. Paired with appropriate food - here some Thai Chilli Chicken - it simply lapped the Chilli up. 

It's all floral, citrus, tropicals - mandarin perhaps. Green apple, lime, sweet and voluptuous, mere hint of immediate acid. Gentle tang, lingering. And it just laps up any hints of heat and spice. Big strides, confident. Based on appropriate food pairing 90
