Gives the impression it's sweet - from the intro - and there's a certain marriage of oak-meets-fruit-meets spice, the latter what whisks the wine away from a simply fruited wine to something more substantive.

Glad you liked the 2013 wild ferment Shiraz Stuart. I think 2013 was the first 2 clone vintage with Heritage 1833 being the new clone added. It gave the wine a much more fruit-driven, buxom character than the previous single clone wine. They were much more linear, mineral driven & cool-climate lean. MarkK, Topper's Mountain Wines
