Not entirely as I'd want - nay expect - in a Riesling, and from a producer and region with an affinity for the variety.
It's a touch spirity, with petroleum vapours. There are hints of citrus trying to break through, to bring the freshness and relief the variety affords. It's more like a bitter lemon across the palate, a hint of zestiness in the frame. But it lacks further redemption.
A rare miss from me, for a producer that normally delivers. 85
