Ballycroft Small Berry Shiraz American Oak 2016

Ballsy Barossa, barrel being a re-skimmed American Oak. It shows, carrying that sweeter edge, framing the ripe fruit perfectly.

It's deep, rich, making itself known and presence felt. Not for the faint-hearted, it's the traditional unison of fruit and oak that the Barossa became associated with.

It's a touch drying and perhaps raisined, but it sustains itself in a manner that will please many. Certainly in the house style, as ever crafted in the paradoxical image of winemaker Joe Evans. 91
