Hastwell & Lightfoot Sands of Time Shiraz 2016

The Sands of Time being a reference to McLaren Vale's ancient sands which make a significant contribution to the wines of the region. That said, the 20 months spent in oak plays a significant part too!

Rich, ripe, robust - comes across as a touch porty. Bit of jamminess, fruits of the forest

Thick, chewy, powdery tannin. It's pretty full, with a depth of blackcurrant fruit to it. 89

Tasted on: Saturday 15th December
Source: Sample
Price: $30
Alcohol: 14%
