St Hugo Riesling 2018

Lime, lemon butter and blossom. Has more of a deeper richness, than say the cut and rapier thrust of youthful Riesling. Veers more toward orange blossom on secondary aromatics.

A sheet of acidity does cut a swathe across the palate, not with the sharpness, more as a sweeping movement. A mix of citrus elements, a minor phenolic edge. For all the initial up front bluster, it actually finishes with a finesse, a delicacy. Well made.

For $40 mind, it's in serious reserve Riesling territory. 92
