Yelland and Papps Second Take Roussanne 2018

Extended maceration and sending to bottle unfiltered has done wonders for this wine. Such a colourful addition to Australia's wine landscape, pun intended given the wonderful depth of colour, and lack of (unfiltered) clarity.

It's positively brimming with a mix of honeyed apricot nectar. There's a light suggestion of Seville marmalade, a tangy citrus edge.

A textural mid-weight, subtle phenolic edge with generous acidity. It's more about adding freshness and drive than about acidic sharpness, as ever the wine being in exquisite balance. 94
