Alkoomi Black Label Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Single block wine, 30% of which was fermented in French Oak. It still speaks of variety, softened, a vanilla aspect added to the green herb freshness.

Nice pitch of zippy acidity, immediately noticeable on the palate. Delicate spice tickles its way across the palate too, again it's somewhat softened - the barrel fermented portion adding that delicacy and finesse.

Be worth a stint in the cellar too. 91

Tasted on: Sunday 26th May, a Root to Flower day
