d'Arenberg The Feral Fox Pinot Noir 2017

The Feral Fox was also one of the wines I would keep an eye out for when I first landed on these shores, d'Arenberg wines being rather ubiquitous in the UK, yet this one not one of them.

Macerated strawberry meets a green herb profile. Smells on the lighter side, fruit the primary proposition.

Dry-ish red on the palate, fails to strike the mark with regards to the variety. The softer, fruitier elements seen on the aromatics are found wanting, just missing a beat here, lacking either the finesse for which the variety is known, or the more savoury elements that are often seen. 87
