Heartland Directors' Cut Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Certainly packs a punch. For a wine that retails at $33 it certainly carries itself with conviction.

Firm and full, blacking a punch.  It’s chewy, thick and certainly full of body - a plethora of black and (a modicum of) blue fruit reign supreme here. Remnants of oak, tight and fine tannin.

Not quite ready for now, I’d suggest that it’s best drinking days are ahead of it and it needs a stint in the cellar, or a bloody good decant at the least. 92

Tasted on: Saturday 16th March, a Flower day
Source: Sample
Price: $33
Alcohol: 14.5%
Closure: Screwcap
