Rusden Black Guts Shiraz 2014

I'd sat on this sample a while. Somewhat scared of it, just look at its name! It's wine that does not betray the outcome that will surely afflict the consumer.

Rich, nigh porty, toffeed notes. Yet, with Rusden wines, for that bluff and bluster comes a softer touch. It's lighter of palate than you'd suspect, given the aromatics.

Fine tannins, blue fruits, freshening acids. As ever, a surprise package. 93

Tasted on: Friday 14th June, a Flower day
Source: Sample
Price: $85
Alcohol: 14.9%
