Ferngrove Diamond Chardonnay 2017

More lavish than I recall it being, observation nothing more. Sets the tone and lets the reader know what to expect, one suggests. 

So yes, somewhat butter and toast - compounds that, certainly in the case of the latter, persist across the length of the palate. Smokey hints, touch of grilled peach. 

Textural nuances, a gloss adding a waxy feel; subtle phenolics, a little bittering. Good wine. 91
