Golden Grove Nero d'Avola 2018

All natural ferment in tank, with elevage in 1 and 2 year old French barriques for eight months.

Wonderfully expressive, just on pour alone it invites: this positively vibrant, almost shimmering, magenta in the glass. Its dense black fruit aromas waft out of glass, that curious mix of fruit imbued with savoury, as if of a little hedgerow or such.

Lithe and supple, fleet of foot around the palate, with a generous tickle of spice along the core of the tongue. Fresh and at you acidity, the wine’s nervous system along which it ripples and bristles with energy.

Tannin seems an afterthought; fine, soft and powdery - leaving a memory of what came before it, undoubtedly leaving you yearning for more. 92
