Sinking one's olfactory organ into a wine can so often be an exercise in contrast, not least here with its summer Berry profile, supported by Autumnal shades of wood, and spiced, by way of oak.
That experience is consistent across the palate, as if compartmentalised, the fruit just a touch sweeter, the spice long across the wine's spine.
There's a sense of fudgey, chocolatey oak in the mix, adding width and lateral edge to the wine. Solid McLaren Vale Shiraz. 90
