Wirra Wirra Scrubby Rise Chardonnay 2018

Scrubby Rise has had a facelift, gone Is the gent in the bowler in a red rowboat across a hedgerow, replaced with a simpler and cleaner design (though the rowboat is still there as something akin to an etching).

The wine in question, simpler fruit forward proposition, hints of melon, stonefruit and perhaps even a dribble of pineapple juice.

Clean across the palate, a line of acid holding the wine together, drawing to a close on a reasonable length. Come here seeking freshness and zippy flavours, not necessarily complexity. 88

Tasted on: Sunday 23rd June, a Flower day
Source: Sample
Price: $17
Alcohol: 12.5%
Closure: Screwcap
