Angullong Fossil Hill Vermentino 2019

Snow pea tendril, citrus, a chalk and salinity on a breeze vibe. Something of more tropical bent; dripping ripe peach, pulpy mango or some such.

Tart and citrusy, the cut and thrust of acidity, probing and jabbing. About a length hangs the fruit, giving the impression of adding volume, as if to suggest either a barrel component or certainly some work. Observation of technique, nothing more.

Generous wine, one that would slake the hardiest of thirsts; versatile, as happy alone as it is in the company of food. 92
