Yangarra Shiraz 2018

So, sourced from six separate blocks across the estate, half sand and half ironstone. It's 50% whole berries and approximately 20% bunch.

There's 20% new oak in the mix, yet it still seems evident on the palate, juxtaposed against depth of fruit concentration and subtle bunch spice.

An incredible sense - and presence - of fruit, the depth of flavour from the fruit grown over ironstone. An exquisite McLaren Vale Shiraz, whilst a variety that seems to be steadily losing ground to Grenache in the region, on this showing consider this a fightback! 93

Tasted on: Thursday 16th April
Source: Sample
Price: $35
Alcohol: 14%
